Registered Nurse $12k sign-on bonus & relocation
The Registered Nurse is responsible to the Unit Director to provide age-appropriate and culturally sensitive care to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Competency is evaluated based on assessment of the nurse’s ability to utilize the nursing process as it applies to formulating an appropriate plan for care and analyzing the effectiveness of interventions. Duties are of considerable difficulty and are based on scientific principles and standards of nursing practice. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for completing all duties as assigned.

Education:
•Associate's Degree in Nursing or Diploma Program is required.
•Bachelor’s in Nursing is preferred.

Experience:
•Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred.
•Demonstrates ability to correctly interpret cardiac rhythms and implement appropriate intervention.
•Demonstrates ability to provide care that is appropriate for age, culture and disease process for Pediatrics, Adults, Adolescents and Geriatrics.

Required Licensure/Certification(s):
•Current RN license to practice professional Nursing in the State of New Mexico.
•Current verification in Basic Life Support is required. If BLS verification is not current upon hire, must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
•ICU/MSP/ED – Completion of ACLS within three (3) months of hire and PALS within six (6) months of hire required.
•ED – Completion of ENPC within six (6) months of hire preferred.
•WHU – Completion of NRP and EFM within six (6) months of hire required.

Essential Job Competencies
•Utilize the nursing process by demonstrating appropriate assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient’s care, as evidenced by patient, staff and supervisor observation.
•Documents patient care, which reflects nursing intervention, patient response to care provided, and includes evidence of appropriate patient/significant other education, and the understanding of these instructions noted in the medical record.
•Implements and documents patient responses to treatments/medications as defined within the scope of the professional Registered Nurse through the New Mexico State Board of Nursing and policies of Rehoboth McKinley Christian Healthcare Services.
•Demonstrates professional conduct including maintenance of patient, staff and unit confidentiality as measured by valid complaints given to the unit supervisor.
•Demonstrates safety, infection control, and performance improvement as part of daily activities as evidenced in providing quality care and services to all customers.
•Demonstrates flexibility by willingly participating in floating to other nursing departments to meet patient care needs.
•Maintains all required licenses and certifications. Submits updated verifications to Human Resources (HR) upon receipt of updated documentation.
•Actively upholds RMCHCS’ Mission, Vision and Core Values. Follows all policies and procedures.
