RMCHCS offers spiritual support for patients and their families through its chaplaincy services. RMCHCS' chaplains have a pivotal role in a patient's emotional, social and spiritual healing. Professional Chaplains provide nondenominational spiritual support, encouragement, and prayers available 24 hours per day, seven days per week. A Chaplain is available at the hospital, home health, hospice, clinics and WellSpring Recovery Center ,Behavioral Health. Ethics CommitteeRMCHCS has an Ethics Committee that can assist patients with any questions regarding their treatment wishes or situations involving ethical, legal or religious choices. If a patient or family member wishes to contact the Ethics Committee, call 505-863-7140.
Grief SupportRMCHCS offers grief support to those who might be hurting and feeling sorrow because of a major loss of a loved one such as a loss of health, possessions, loss of faith or relocation. Please call 505-863-7140 for questions to register.
Memorial ServicesIn November of each year, the RMCHCS chaplain hosts a memorial service. Family members of patients who have died in the hospital or in RMCHCS' hospice program over the past year, are invited to attend the service.
The service takes place in the solarium, located on the third floor of the hospital.
