Chaplain Services
RMCHCS offers spiritual support for patients and their families through its Chaplain services. RMCHCS' Chaplains can play a pivotal role in patient's emotional, social and spiritual healing. Professional Chaplains can provide presence, active listening, encouragement, and prayer 24 hours per day, seven days a week. A Chaplain is available at the hospital, home health, Hospice and clinics. To contact the Chaplain, call 541-519-0535 or call the main switchboard at 505-863-7000.

Ethics Committee
RMCHCS has an Ethics Committee that can assist patients with any questions regarding their treatment wishes or situations involving ethical, legal or religious choices. If a patient or family member wishes to contact the Ethics Committee, call 505-863-7140.Grief Support
RMCHCS offers grief support to those who might be hurting and feeling sorrow because of a major loss of a loved one such as a loss of health, possessions, loss of faith or relocation. Please call 505-863-7140 for questions to register.
Addiction Recovery
The hospital Chaplain offers free outpatient pastoral counseling to those seeking recovery from substance abuse or addiction issues. Grief counseling is available as well as a companion to traditional AA/NA sponsorship. Efforts are made to refer clients to other community resources offering intensive and specialized treatment options.
Memorial Services
In November of each year, the RMCHCS chaplain hosts a memorial service. Family members of patients who have died in the hospital or in RMCHCS' hospice program over the past year, are invited to attend the service.The service takes place in the solarium, located on the third floor of the hospital.
