      RMCHCS is offering the following blood screening tests for $15.00 per test:

      • Basic blood profile: glucose, cholesterol triglycerides, HDL & LDL
      • Hemoglobin A1c
      • Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA)

      You can schedule an appointment by calling 505.863.725.  Walk-ins welcome.

      Please drink plenty of water (no caffeine) and fast for at least eight hours before your blood screening test.

      Trauma Nursing Core Course

      April 23, 2013

      This  is a 16 hour course developed by the Emergency Nurses Association to provide core level trauma knowledge and psychomotor skills.  The course is recommended for all nurses who take care of trauma patients regardless of their area of specialization.  Six months of trauma experience is recommended when registering for the course.  After successfully completing the course, verification is valid for a period of four years.  14.42 continuing education credits are also awarded. Healthcare professionals other than RNs are welcome to audit the course.  Only RNs may participate in the testing of the psychomotor skill stations and the multiple-choice exam.

      Cost: $200  (check and money order only)  No fee for RMCHCS employees

      Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course

      May 21 & 22, 2013

      The focus of the Emergency Nursing Pediatric Coursd (ENPC) is to teach nurses the various aspects of pediatric emergency nursing care, including, but not limited to, pediatric trauma.  The course is a four-year certification for RNs who successfully complete the course.  Healthcare professionals other than RNs are welcome to audit the course. Only RNs may participate in the testing of psychomotor skilss and the multiple choice exam.  Space is limited.
