Biography:

Dr. Dale Kester is a Medical Doctor with Board Certification in Emergency Medicine from the American Board of Physician Specialties. He is the long-standing chairman of the Trauma Advisory and System Stakeholders Committee, the New Mexico State Trauma Committee. He is also past chair and charter member by gubernatorial appointment of the Trauma System Funding Authority. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Texas Lutheran University with additional studies toward his Masters Degree in chemistry. He has a Medical Degree from the University of Texas Medical School in San Antonio, Texas. He has training in General Surgery at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. His residency training was interrupted by a recall to active duty and served as a US Navy Flight Surgeon. Subsequently, he was awarded a National Institute of Health fellowship and attended the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at The University of Texas Health Sciences Center at Houston towards a Ph.D. in gastrointestinal physiology and radiation biology. He was a post-Graduate Research Fellow in the Department of Surgery at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. Dr. Kester speaks English and conversational Spanish
