Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy outpatient services are for pediatric through geriatric patients. Physical therapists (PTs) are movement experts who optimize quality of life through prescribed exercise, hands-on treatments, movement retraining, and patient education.

Physical therapists teach patients how to prevent or manage their condition so that they will achieve long-term health benefits. They use treatment techniques to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy outpatient services are for pediatric through geriatric patients. Occupational therapists (OTs) help patients return to their highest level of function in everyday real life skills. Through appropriate therapeutic activities, exercise and self-care management training, occupational therapists assist individuals in adapting to their social and physical environment. In doing so, patients regain confidence as they improve their ability to function in everyday life. OT treatment improves daily activity functioning (bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, fine motor skills), memory, orientation and cognitive training, shortens recovery time and helps individuals become self- sufficient.

Programs include:
Hand, shoulder and arm injuries or orthopedic conditions pre and post-surgery
Neurological impairments

Cognitive-communication disorders include problems organizing thoughts, paying attention, remembering, planning, and/or problem-solving. These disorders usually happen as a result of a stroke, traumatic brain injury, or dementia, although they can be congenital.
Swallowing disorders (dysphagia) swallowing difficulties, which may follow an illness, surgery, stroke, or injury.
