Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Pediatrics
The Registered Nurse is responsible to the Director, Med/Surg/Pediatrics, Clinical Nurse Manager, or Charge Nurse to provide age appropriate and culturally sensitive care to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Competency is evaluated based on assessment of the nurse's ability to utilize the nursing process as it applies to medical-surgical and pediatric nursing, to formulate an appropriate plan for care, and to analyze the effectiveness of interventions, while effectively interacting with patients, significant others, and other health team members, while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Duties are of considerable difficulty and are based on scientific principles and standards of nursing practice.
Licensure & Certifications:
•Current New Mexico Nursing License
•Core competencies according to the RMCHCS nursing clinical ladder program.
•Current verification in Basic Life Support (If BLS verification is not current upon hire, must be obtained within 3 months of hire).
•ENPC must be completed within one year of hire.
