SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL
Non-exempt personnel (hourly staff who are eligible for overtime) are paid a percentage of their base rate for working shifts. The shift and the percentage paid are as follows:
10% weekday evenings
15% weekday nights
15% weekend days
20% weekend evenings
25% weekend nights
TUITION ASSISTANCE
RMCHCS may provide educational assistance for employees who wish to improve their skills or who wish to pursue Associates, Bachelors and /or Masters Degrees in a healthcare or job-related field. The purpose is to encourage staff to work toward their full educational potential while enhancing the quality of service throughout the organization. Financial Assistance is re-paid through specific time worked at RMCHCS.

STEP SCHOLARSHIP – Student Scholarship to Employment Program
The STEP program offers scholarships up to $5,000 per year to qualified medical professional students in their last two years of study. Students agree to work for RMCHCS for a specified length of time after graduation as payback. This benefit is available to employees and community area residents interested in beginning their career at RMCHCS.
LOAN FORGIVENESS
The purpose of the Loan Forgiveness Program is to encourage recruitment and retention of health-care professionals to provide health-care services to our communities. We will help the employee in the application process and in finding the financial support that is available. We can help with a student loan payback if the employee works for RMCHCS in one of several professional healthcare roles, including MD, PA, NP, RN, MT, PT, OT SLP, MLT, Radiology Tech, Respiratory Therapist, Polysomnographer, MSW/BSW, Social Worker, Surgical Tech and several other positions.

Rehoboth McKinley Christian Health Care Services Loan Repayment
Awards up to $5,000 per year for full-time (0.9 – 1.0 FTE) and $2500 awarded to part-time (0.5-0.8 PTE). Eligibility requires full-time employee to be licensed/certified as well as a one-year commitment for each year’s award provided.
PAID TIME OFF (PTO)
Full-time and part-time, (half-time) employees are eligible for PTO leave beginning the pay period following their first 90 days on the job. Full-time non-management employees earn 6.47 hours per pay period. Part-time employees earn a pro-rated amount according to the actual number of hours recorded in the pay period.

LONG TERM SICK LEAVE (LTSL)
LTSL is available for full-time and part-time employees. LTSL eligibility begins the pay period following the first 90 days on the job. Full-time employees earn 1.24 hours per pay period (32 hours per year). LTSL is to be used for bona fide illnesses that require the full-time employee to be absent more than 40 scheduled consecutive hours of work time. This requirement is based on pro-rated hours for eligible part-time employees.
EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE FUND
This fund provides a source of emergency funds for employees who undergo temporary financial setback. The Employee Assistance Fund is made up of voluntary contributions from employees. The Employee Assistance Fund Committee will coordinate contributions and payments from the fund. Employees requesting financial assistance must contribute to the fund, and be employed six (6) months or longer. The Fund is for Death/Illness, Hardship and Traumatic Event.
SECTION 125 FLEXIBLE COMPENSATION PLAN
Pre-tax reimbursement account for medical costs and childcare is available to employees. Open enrollment is effective the first of the month following date of hire or once a year in November. A MasterCard “Debit Card” makes reimbursement under the flex comp plan very convenient. All receipts for purchases made through this plan must be saved and produced upon request.
TAX DEFERRED ANNUITY (TDA) 403 (b) RETIREMENT PLAN
In addition to Social Security benefits paid by employees and RMCHCS, the TDA/Pension Plan is a retirement plan option. Enrollment is effective the first of the month following date-of-hire for eligible employees (full-time or part-time at 20hrs/wk). You will be completely vested in the RMCHCS employer matching contributions after five (5) years of employment. Registered Investment Advisors are available to assist in choosing investment funds. The maximum amount an employee may contribute to the plan for 2012 is $17,000.

LONG TERM DISABILITY INSURANCE
RMCHCS underwrites the expense of a long-term disability plan in the event an employee is faced with a potentially long-term disability with the curtailment of income. Full-time employees (at 36 hours per week) are eligible for coverage. Long-term disability insurance is effective the first day of the month following the first ninety days of employment.
In the event of a long-term disability, after a waiting period of 180 days, the disabled employee may receive up to 60% of his/her normal monthly earnings to age 65. The level of disability, which determines the benefit amount, is determined by the insurance company.
GROUP LIFE INSURANCE
Company-paid, term-life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment insurance is available to full-time and part-time employees. The benefit pays 1.25 times annual salary for full-time (1.0 to .9 FTE). Part-time (.8 to .5) will receive a maximum of $8,000.
BLUE CROSS/BLUE SHIELD Health / Dental / Vision Insurance
Full-time and part-time employees may choose health coverage under a Blue Cross Blue Shield HMO or PPO or EPO Plan. Coverage becomes effective the first day of the month following the 30th day of employment. RMCHCS provides a portion of the employee’s premium as a benefit. Payroll deduction is to be arranged for the employee’s premium for either single or family coverage. Dental Insurance is provided by Delta Dental and is included in the health/dental insurance package. Vision Insurance is provided by Davis Insurance and is included in the health/dental/vision insurance package.
Employees may sign up for coverage immediately upon hire or within thirty days of an eligible status change or at open enrollment in November of each year. Employees wishing to sign up after 30 days will be asked to provide evidence of
insurability and coverage is not guaranteed. Premiums are deducted from paychecks on a pre-tax basis under the Section 125 Flex Comp plan. The law allows for a change to be made in the event of a change in family status (ie. divorce, birth of a child, change in spouse’s health coverage, etc.), but otherwise there is a 12-month commitment.
Shortly after the effective date of coverage the employee will receive a health card. Cost of insurance depends on employee status and whether or not dependents are covered.
Enrollment is limited to these events:
1) New Hire
2) A Family Status Change
3) Annual Enrollment in November
4) After – Tax Basis (when 1 or 2 does not apply)

OPTIONAL LIFE INSURANCE(Additional Life Insurance)
This is a voluntary benefit that allows employees to pay for additional term or universal life insurance and critical care insurance. Open enrollment is in November of each year. Human Resources will post information as to the dates and times the representative will be available for enrollment.
EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (EAP)
(EAP) is a voluntary, confidential assessment and referral service specifically designed to assist employees and their families in handling personal and work-related problems. Please contact ComPsych® at 1-800-272-7255.
FAMILY AND MEDICAL LEAVE ACT OF 1993
According to the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 (FMLA), an employee must have been employed for at least 12 months and worked at least 1,250 hours in the prior twelve-month period to be eligible for FMLA.
RMCHCS extends to all full-time and .5 part-time employees the benefit of time off for six (6) legal holidays. A factor for holiday leave time is included in PTO accrual and absences for holiday leave are paid from each employee’s PTO bank.

DIRECT DEPOSIT
We offer Savings and Checking with all major banks and Credit Unions. If you would like direct deposit for checking and savings, Human Resources (H.R.) will need the following:
- VOIDED CHECK for checking account (initialed and dated) and if you have a savings account we will need a VOIDED DEPOSIT SLIP for each account and the amount you want to go into your savings account. The remainder of your check will automatically go into your checking account.
If you would like to direct deposit your entire check H.R. needs the following.
